When it came to Addilyn’s nursery, I knew I wanted a very girly, vintage feel. I was inspired to do a dainty, feminine look with mostly creams and slight pops of colour through various decor. I was going for a dreamy, calming room that we would both enjoy together. I am thrilled with how it turned out and feel it is a special room for our sweet baby girl.
Many of the pieces I collected over a couple of years in all sorts of places like vintage markets, antique stores and Homesense (of course). I also incorporated a ton of handmade items I found through Etsy shops that I absolutely adore (I will give you all a warning though, once you start using Etsy, you will be addicted, it is seriously way too amazing for finding great handmade items). The scalloped border was hand painted by my mama, and it is something that meant so much to me for her to take the time to do that for Addilyn. The chandelier was handpicked by my husband, Joel, who from the moment we found out we were having a girl and we started to plan her nursery, he said our baby girl NEEDED a chandelier for her room (so sweet, right?), so this is the one he picked for her.
So this is Addilyn’s darling nursery, full of handmade, vintage, unique pieces and made with love from those who love her. I will note that the wall that has Addilyn’s crib is supposed to be painted in a floral pattern, but the roller never came in time and then Addilyn was a week early, so it has yet to be done, but when we do it, I will be sure to post (this floral paint roller is another amazing Etsy find).
I hope you all enjoy! I am posting the links to the sources of where I bought most things below – but I will say quite a bit is from vintage markets – which will mean it cannot be purchased. Also, feel free to email me with any decor questions or on how to find unique pieces for any room, or if you have any specific questions about Addi’s nursery or where I bought something that I didn’t link! xx
