It’s a miracle – I finally blogged again! Let me just say, it has been crazy around here again. We have had no time to shoot and I did a spontaneous trip to Montana last weekend for my favorite vintage market and am just settling in again. Addi has been a little angel through all of the flights and driving, I seriously don’t know how I lucked out with such a good baby! She has been saying “hi” and “bye” lately, and hamming it up with some funny new faces. I am now 15 weeks pregnant and she definitely has figured out that there is a bump – each time I ask her “where’s the baby?” she literally crawls over to me and attempts to lift my shirt/dress and then pats my belly, she even has snuggled it and given it smooches – I pretty much die each time!!
Dressing the bump can be complicated if you overthink it! I remember when I was pregnant with Addi, I was constantly getting emails asking how I find things that work – and I swear it comes down to choosing simple pieces that make YOU feel good! Most things I wore throughout my pregnancy with Addilyn were not even maternity – I only purchased a few maternity jeans – going up a size in some tops and taking advantage of the flowy/oversize top trend is also key. The nice thing about being pregnant is the summer this time, is that flowy maxi dresses and skirts can be a staple, and you look so put together but are comfortable at the same time!
I have been loving finding maxi skirts to wear comfy tees with, you can tie an easy knot or wear it tucked in to change things up! This one from Zara I got on super sale (I saw a few more in store if you’re desperate to find it). Forever21 is one place I always go to find cute maxi dresses and skirts too! I scored this polka dot one and can’t wait to style it with a chambray or laid back tee! Wearing a maxi skirt over the bump can also help highlight the smallest part of your body, and hide those back love handles we all begin to develop during pregnancy. If you guys have any questions or things you’d like to see on here when it comes to dressing the bump, let me know!!
