I almost don’t know where to begin! My blog has felt like it has been on hold for what seems like forever now – it has been such a struggle for me! We have so much going on that I can barely wrap my brain around it. Between being a “single mama” for the last 5 and a half weeks, to moving in with my parent’s place for a week, then back home, then to leave again for another 5 days due to more construction in our home, and back again this week to prep our house to sell – my head is spinning! All the while appointments, tending a needy toddler and getting ready to leave again for another month, I feel like life hasn’t allowed us any time to slow down. Hence why my blog posts have been so few and far between. It has been such a struggle to let this go. I have so many ideas flowing but no way of executing them right at this moment until things go back to “normal” – it also didn’t help having my sweet hubby aka photographer away for nearly six weeks! Now that I am feeling better (finally at 20 weeks the nausea and crazy tiredness simmered down), my hubby being home in a few short days, and us moving all together to a stationary place for a month, I think things will be back on track. I can’t wait to share more pregnancy style, pregnancy must haves and more of our lives and the upcoming changes! Starting next week, I think I will get some of my sanity back!
In the meantime, I figured I would post the last little adventure our family had in July before the chaos began! We took Addi to this cute as ever berry farm where there was a little beach, restaurant (with amazing perogies) and cute little places to sit and enjoy the views. I was only 16 weeks here and thought I had a belly back then – ha! I love these moments we captured as a family because this summer they seemed so few and far between with everything going on. I can’t wait to be in Vancouver as a family next week and be able to enjoy some of the amazing things there.
I think one thing I’ve learned during my pregnancy with Addi and this one as well, is that you don’t need to always be shopping exclusively at maternity stores for maternity items. I always reach for maternity jeans (a few pairs I invested in with Addi) or my Bella Band to wear with my normal jeans. Here, I found a great pair of Gap Maternity cutoffs and have worn them a ton this summer, and paired them with a loose Zara top (nonmaternity)! Sometimes you can just size up, or often times stores carry various tops that are loose fitting which is perfect for expecting mamas!
Anyways, it’s midnight here and I don’t know how I am still up, but I figured I would pop in and just say hi! I am also working on our gender reveal post for this week to share some more photos I captured that didn’t make it to my Instagram – Addi was hilarious and even though she doesn’t know what was going on, she was in heaven with a blue sucker and balloons so that’s all that mattered!
