Happy Friday! I am slowly getting back into the groove of blogging again.. We shot this look in our new neighborhood by the yummiest local coffee shop! It’s fun discovering all the new parts of our place we now call home. It has taken time to adjust being away from friends and some family, but it is starting to feel more like home! Joel was away this week for the first time, and I was super scared to do two full days and a long night with both kids – but it went surprisingly well! Beckett turned one month on Wednesday (fastest month of my life), and has had a rough week for gas and tummy ache – so we are figuring that out and I hope we can because this mama needs some sleeeeeep!
This look is one I have worn on repeat since having Beckett. I am finding things to be a little different this time around after having my second baby. With Addi, I was able to hop right back into my jeans within the first couple of weeks and felt completely like myself right away! This time around, I have struggled fitting back into my jeans (comfortably) and have appreciated jeans like these Citizens of Humanity ones that have the little stretch panel in them. They look and feel like my normal jeans, but just give me a little extra room while I try lose some of those extra lbs! Hazel & Jools is an amazing store with a wide range of maternity and nonmaternity items as well. If you’re a local, they are down on Main St. and are one of those hidden gems – so if you’re an expecting mama, go visit them! I snagged some amazing tops that now are working great for nursing.
This top here is also one I wore while pregnant with Beckett – but it’s one of those tops I will keep in my closet for a comfy basic tee and wear for when I am pregnant or not. Label by LEGOE has great basic pieces that work for both maternity and non-maternity. I absolutely love this dress and these joggers for lounging! I know sometimes investing in pieces that work for pregnancy can feel frustrating given you are only supposed to wear them for the 9 months you’re pregnant, but incorporating them into your daily wardrobe is doable with the right pieces – which is also especially helpful for right after you have your babe. Thanks for stopping by!
