Hi girls! Happy Wednesday! So this post was supposed to go live on Monday, but Beckett has been so incredibly sick since Sunday night. It has been so sad and stressful watching my little guy be so miserable and sick with a fever. I am hoping we are on the up and up though, and that he feels better ASAP!
I have been so darn excited about revealing this cute little guest room we did in our basement! We love having visitors, and I really just love hosting friends and family in our home – especially since we moved away from our home in Calgary.
This room was super drab before.. it was a bluey grey color and filled with boxes and storage! I wanted a light, and airy feel, just like the rest of our home, so the first thing we did was paint it white. We didn’t have a huge room to work with, but I needed it to be cute and functional at the same time. I definitely stuck to my typical shabby chic/farmhouse/french country style! The dark metal bed is a wonderful contrast to the bright feel of the room – and typically not something I would choose! This Anthro bedding is one of my favorites of their new arrivals! It is even more beautiful in person and so delicate and detailed! We have had this duvet set in our room for over three years, and have another quilt set from Anthro in our other guest room. They are truly unique and amazing quality!
A ton of the pieces I collected were from thrift stores, vintage shops and from my most favorite site for farmhouse/shabby chic treasures, Magnolia Market. I did link a ton of similar finds through Etsy and Amazon – two great options if you don’t live near thrift or vintage shops! If I missed anything, feel free to comment below or email me! Thanks as always for stopping by! Xx
